About Me

I earned my MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2015 where I studied entrepreneurship, accounting, and finance. I have operational and strategy experience from my work launching an e-commerce start-up.

I’m now the Founder and CEO of South Main Capital, LLC.  We’re an independent consulting firm that helps investors and companies with their research and due diligence efforts.  I have several years of experience as a generalist investment professional at two top firms, Soros and Wendel, a middle-market private equity firm.  South Main Capital specializes in gathering deep insights in different industries for concise, actionable analyses. I use primary and secondary resources to develop market analyses, competitive landscapes, industry overviews, and company deep dives.  I leverage my large personal and professional network to speak with those knowledgeable about the topic/industry.

Prior to business school, I worked at Soros Fund Management for four years. Most recently, I was a long/short equity analyst assigned to the CIO’s portfolio. I researched new investment opportunities across all geographies and sectors.  I conducted a significant amount of market research to support our investment decisions. One of my most important tasks was to interview companies’ customers and other players in its industry. I built operating models and comparable company valuation analyses to forecast revenues and determine fair value. Meeting with management teams to discuss the company’s strategy and outlook was a key part of my due diligence process. During earnings seasons, I listened to earnings calls and evaluated whether the results changed the investment thesis. My other responsibility was to write the daily CIO equity morning note to inform the firm of all sell-side research, news and earnings results impacting the stocks in the CIO portfolio.

During the summer of 2014, I was a private equity intern for a French listed investment firm, Wendel North America, LLC. I performed fundamental research on over 12 companies by evaluating company-level performance, assessing industry dynamics and competitive landscapes, leading due diligence calls, and building valuation analyses.
