After two consecutive record-breaking quarters, Catalant is accelerating into 2021 with two leadership hires and one key promotion. Today Catalant announces the hires of Carina Hatfield, Head of Software Product, and Bill Bing, SVP of Finance. Additionally, Jake Simpson has been promoted to Chief Revenue Officer (CRO).
“Our evolving leadership team perfectly embodies the mission of Catalant; to enable the future of work with both a high-end talent Marketplace and a SaaS solution to help companies get their most important work done, fast,” said Catalant CEO Pat Petitti.
Catalant closed its 2020 fiscal year with two consecutive quarters of record growth. Named by the Boston Business Journal as the second-fastest growing company in Massachusetts in 2019, Catalant has come through the global pandemic with a business model more relevant, and scaling faster, than ever before, as organizations across the globe sought ways to continue their most strategic initiatives in a more rapid, efficient, and cost-effective way.
Hatfield joins Catalant from Planview, where she spearheaded innovation in the company’s Enterprise One portfolio management product. “Her extensive knowledge of Catalant’s customer base, leadership experience, and vision for the future of work make her a perfect fit for Catalant”, said Petitti. Hatfield will report to Caesar Naples, Chief Technology Officer.
“I joined Catalant because we’re in a unique position to offer a modern approach to strategy execution,” says Hatfield. “Today’s leaders need to embrace uncertainty while enabling their organizations to execute now and in the future. Aligning your workforce to strategy means integrating internal resources and external expertise to drive real results.”
Bing was most recently SVP at Finance at Humatics, and has 20 years of experience in startups, venture debt and venture capital at companies including Upromise and Square 1 Financial. As an operational finance leader focused on helping startups scale, Bing brings the right expertise to help Catalant improve the experience of customers and experts alike. Bing will report to Pat Petitti, CEO.
“I’m excited to join Catalant at such a promising stage in the company’s life,” says Bing. “With a great team and a strong leadership position in a growing category, we’ve already proven the demand for our marketplace and software offerings. I’m looking forward to helping us optimize our processes and grow efficiently to meet demand.”
Simpson was named EVP of Global Sales at Catalant in 2017. As CRO, he assumes leadership of all revenue-related functions, including sales, marketing, and customer experience. He brings more than 20 years of sales and operations experience to the role, having served in leadership roles at Onapsis and PTC prior to joining Catalant.
