Redirected company strategy to focus on EV charging as a driver for growth. Negotiated the largest contract in Xendee’s 5-year history which served as beachhead for new EV strategy.

Created and steered Xendee’s Customer Success function: Identified and resolved major adoption bottleneck by implementing a new onboarding process. Achieved 95% conversion.

Progressed this to improve holistic customer journey; reduced churn. Brought voice of customer to product development; supported in creating continuously refreshed customer centric product roadmap.

Partner at The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) 
Nov 2015 – Apr 2022

Strategy refresh for a utility facing a regulatory shut-down of coal fired plants. Defined future energy scenarios, developed analytical model, and articulated new business model for a Net Zero world.

Co-led a study to detail the Carbon Management strategy of a regional leading oil & gas player. Articulated a path to not only abate own footprint, but also to identify new avenues of growth.

Supported a regional oil & gas player in standing up a Digital Innovation Incubator. Co-ran two Innovation Sprints within the supply chain group and advanced a concept to prototype for funding.

Head of Corporate Strategy at BCH ELECTRIC 
Sep 2013 – Oct 2015

Managed strategic & operational initiatives for the turnaround of this 50-year-old privately held company. Responsible for increasing profitability by ~5% on a turnover of USD ~50 million in one year.

Ran the company’s marketing, pricing and R&D team. Also held an interim sales head role for the pan-nation sales organization across 30+ locations.

Ran the switchboard assembly and electrical enclosure manufacturing unit for the company representing over 25% of the company’s annual turnover.

Principal at Booz & Company 
Aug 2007 – Aug 2013

Led growth strategy for the distribution business at a Nordic utility, e.g., market & technology assessment for Electric Vehicles. Developed innovation framework to identify/ prioritize new products.

Worked with the Indian government to develop a strategy for Electric Vehicles – the work directly led to the approval of the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan for India.

Led a project for a major natural gas player in India to determine its entry strategy into LNG trading and shipping. Work directly led to the approval and set-up of an LNG trading desk in Singapore.
